Johnson City, Tennessee - T. C. Lewis & Co. CEO, Cory Lewis, has been named one of 10 Best in Tennessee.
"What do you say, really? I always appreciate acknowledgment of hard work because it is a team effort," says Lewis, "and our team has been working really hard."
The company has had a flurry of awards and recognitions over the last year, including being named to Inc. magazine's Inc. 5000 list of the Fastest Growing Privately Held Companies in America, and Best of Property Management (8th in a row) to highlight a couple.
Cory responds, "Look, it may seem like we've had some overnight success over the last couple of years because of some of these awards, but that's just not the case. We've been working at this for 15 years, and we're still improving things on a daily basis. I vividly remember a vacant office in Johnson City with one lawn chair that my wife and buddy took turns taking breaks in while we were putting desks together. We've come a long way, but we've got a long way to go. We've always had big plans, and we're still getting after it every day."
"In the meantime, we'll make a little room in the awards case," Lewis adds, smiling.
