Asheville, North Carolina -- T. C. Lewis & Co. worked in concert with TCL Enterprises (our sister company) to take on a home renovation project of a 1958 mid-century modern. The home had various updated components and areas over the decades. The client wanted to gel the look and style of everything together and repair some lingering issues from Hurricane Helene damage in the process. The project encompassed the interior and exterior, along with a detached garage, driveway work, and landscaping.
The client moved out of the property for the Summer, and had kids starting back to school in the Fall, so the timeline was tight for the amount of work to be completed. Work started on the inside, methodically working through the interior, and then worked on finishing the exterior once the client was moved back in. In total, the project spanned four months from June to September with materials being sourced in April and May for staging and to ensure on-time arrivals.

In total, there were three and a half bathrooms totally renovated, including a large master suite bathroom shower and soaking tub, double vanity, and a 12x14 walk-in closet attached.

The upstairs bathroom required reconfiguring to add a second vanity and enlarge the shower.
Two new windows were installed requiring matching tongue and groove siding to be framed up and integrated.

There was also wood-look tile floors installed throughout the main level, custom glass cabinets built to match existing at a coffee counter bar, a new bar with fridge and ice maker against a custom tile green accent wall in a den, wainscoting and mantle, along with a master bedroom accent wall to tie-in the cedar used throughout the rest of the project. New entry doors, new light fixtures and fans, fresh paint, and various other custom features were implemented to complete the job.
The entire home exterior was painted, including replacement vinyl windows
(previously installed on one side of the home) to match new windows on the other. An accent wall of tongue and groove cyprus was added near the front entry door, along with tongue and groove to enclose the soffits around the whole home and garage.

Driveway work and landscaping are planned for Spring to finish out the project.
